Sunrise is my absolute favorite time to photograph my couples. So, when I met Taylor + David for their Barrel Oak Winery anniversary session at the crack of dawn, it was everything my photographer heart dreamed of! Golden light, had the winery all to ourselves, and one gorgeous couple 🙂 It was my very last anniversary session while I’m here in Virginia before we make our move to Texas, and I could not have asked for a better morning. Taylor + David are celebrating 3 years of marriage, and the smiles on their faces and tons of cuddles just proved how happy and in love they still are. Here is a little more about their love story from Taylor!
How did you two meet?
David and I met in college! We met in an elevator during freshman orientation a few months before classes started and ended up running into each other again on move in day (we lived in the same dorm!).
How did David propose?
David surprised me with a trip to New York City in December 2013. He proposed at the top of Rockefeller Center! Very cheesy, very sweet. 🙂
Tell me a little about your wedding day.
David and I got married in April 2015 at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club! We tried keep the day and the details sweet and simple and focus on everyone having fun! Our favorite part was the night before, after the rehearsal dinner, when all our closest friends and family spent the night in Annapolis drinking and dancing and we felt like we could finally relax!
What is your favorite thing about your marriage?
The best part about marriage so far is feeling like you’re on your own team of two. Everything is tackled together and you always have someone supporting you.
Have you learned anything new about your spouse since being married 3 years ago?
He’s a huge Caps & Wizards fan now! 🙂
Congratulations Taylor + David on 3 years! I wish you two many more happy and loving years together 🙂
