Shashi and Michael’s wedding was a dream! Held at the beautiful and serene Trump National Golf Club, their wedding was the perfect mix of elegance and romance. I knew from the first visit that this wedding was going to be magical! I had the privilege of photographing Shashi and Michael’s engagement session in the spring; and after witnessing their giddiness, love, and admiration for one another, I couldn’t wait to capture their wedding day memories.

I fell in love with all the little details they incorporated into their day: her new last name as her dress hanger, family heirlooms hooked to her bouquet, and my personal favorite: their wedding date and names inscribed on Michael’s wedding band. What a great way to mark the most memorable day of their lives!

The ceremony, on top of a waterfall overlooking the Potomac River, was breathtaking. I’m telling you, this is a dream venue! I teared up when I witnessed Michael’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time – I told you I cry at weddings! It was easy to tell how much this day meant to them. No matter what was going on, Michael and Shashi were always by each other’s side. Stealing secret smiles, whispering and kissing when they thought no one was looking, and even just holding hands walking from one side of the room to the other…I swear I kept saying “Aww” to myself over and over throughout the night. Michael and Shashi were so blessed to have their family and friends around to celebrate. The dancing could have continued all night – EVERYONE was on the dance floor! I’m extremely happy to have met these two, and so honored to have been a part of their special day. I hope that 50 years from now, they will look back and smile, remembering what a magical night it truly was.
