When I’m not photographing beautiful wedding and engaged couples, you can see me photographing new moms-to-be and their families during their maternity session. I absolutely love capturing this special moment in one’s life, when a new chapter is about to begin.

• When should I schedule my session? The best time to schedule your maternity session is when you’re still feeling relatively comfortable. While every mom is different, between the 28-35 weeks mark is typically the sweet spot for most moms. We all know babies have their own timeline and arrive when they are ready. That’s why scheduling your session when you’re about 28-35 weeks along gives you some grace if your little one arrives early.

• What should I wear? Long dresses look great on camera because it brings extra movement to your photos. Long, flowy dresses or outfits with detailed sleeves look great with a baby bump, and are great for the extra drama! The camera loves the softer tones of pastels. Avoid bright neon colors and stick to lighter tones like dusty blues, beautiful creams, and soft pinks. These colors always look great on camera.

• I don’t know how to pose, can you help me? Yes! Don’t worry if you’ve never taken maternity photos before! I will help guide you into poses that flatter the baby bump and your yourself. I demonstrate certain stances, and help direct you to create the beautiful portraits and the candid moments in between.

• Can I bring my partner or family? Yes! Whether it’s you and your partner’s first child, or you’re growing your family with another little one on the way, I love capturing your loved ones celebrating this new journey along side you! You’ll receive different poses and group shots in your final gallery.

• Is hair and make-up included? Yes! I offer two collections for portrait sessions, and my exclusive collection now include professional hair and makeup! I want you to feel as confident and beautiful as you can for your session. Your hair and makeup will be done by one of Austin’s best artists. You’ll can feel pampered as she works her magic. No need to bring any makeup along. My makeup artist has it all! Just come with clean, dry hair and a clean, moisturized face, and she make you feel beautiful, confident, and ready for the camera!

• When can I expect my photos? You get to relive the moment and view your images super quick! You can expect your final gallery of digital images within 2 weeks from your maternity session.

• I had my baby! Do you offer newborn photography? Yes! My style of newborn photography is natural, calm, and candid, with a mix of portraiture. I love doing newborn/family sessions in the comfort of your home because it brings a sense of calm and relaxation. No stress on where to meet, park, or outside noises. Plus, more convenience for the new parents 🙂 These newborn family sessions are scheduled anywhere from from a few days old to 14 days old when they are still sleeping most of the day.
