I first met Karen + Matt back in early winter when I had the privilege of shooting their engagement session at Manassas Battlefield Park. From capturing their love and admiration for one another that day, I knew their wedding day was going to be something special. Arriving at Karen’s house to capture her getting ready for the biggest day of her life, Karen was all smiles! No nerves coming from this bride 🙂 Later I arrived at the hotel where Matt and his groomsmen were putting their finishing touches. This group was so incredibly sweet…offering me food and drinks when they knew this pregnant mama had a full day ahead of her 🙂 Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous Church of the Nativity in Burke, VA. After their sweet and sentimental ceremony, I took them away to a little hidden spot I’ve always wanted to shoot at, Ox Hill Battlefield Park. This area was just PERFECT for some late afternoon Bride & Groom portraits. Private, quiet, the sun beaming in just the right spot, and Karen + Matt’s constant adoration and affection towards each other.

Walking into their reception room at Waterford Receptions was like walking into a twinkling, romantic, glow-y night. Lights and candles covered the room, while photos of the couple from all stages of their relationship covered the cake table. All throughout the night, Karen + Matt would sneak off and have a moment just for themselves. Of course, I had to secretly capture those little moments 🙂 All night long, the dance floor was popping, and EVERYONE got up to shake it! What a great way to end the evening by having everyone they love up on the dance floor for one BIG group photo!

Congratulations Karen + Matt! I’m so incredibly happy for you two! Keep making each other laugh 🙂
