I can’t believe I’m finally saying YES to something that has been in my heart, and that I have been wanting to offer for such a long time. I have been photographing families, children, friends, seniors, and couples since 2011, and shot my very first wedding later that year. 7 years later, I’m specializing in weddings and couples, and I still get super pumped before each wedding or session. When I first started on this journey, I had no one to talk to about starting a photography business, no one to shadow, no one who could encourage me, mentor me, and take me under their wing. Funny story, I actually reached out to a “well known” local photographer in my home town asking if I can shadow them, second shoot for them, or take them out for coffee and ask them some questions. They didn’t give me the time of day, and I felt discouraged. Ever since that experience, I’ve desired to be the photographer that others could come to and ask questions, for encouragement, or simply for advice.
As I’m writing this, I can’t believe little ole me is actually (finally) putting this out there! One thing I can’t specify enough is that I’M NOT PERFECT. However, as the years went on, I have learned SO much, and it’s been in my heart for a long time to pass along the knowledge I’ve gained.
This brings me to my special announcement: I am now offering One-on-One Mentoring Sessions! To celebrate this new service, I’m handing out one FREE mentoring session! AHHH! I’m so overjoyed to teach, help, and encourage fellow photographers!
So, you’re probably asking yourself, “Vanessa, what are these Mentoring Sessions?” Well, here is more information:
Two full hours of you and I chatting about photography, business, goals, struggles, and more! I’m also here for hands-on help with shooting techniques, camera and gear questions, and just someone to cheer you on (because you know we ALL need that!). Of course, all of this will be going on while sipping on your favorite coffee or tea 🙂
BONUS: Our session will also include brand new, updated head shots for your growing business!
When my photography career first started 7 years ago, I didn’t have a mentor. Now, I want to be the one who you can ask ANYTHING and learn from.
These sessions will take place in the Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C. area. If you’re not located in the greater DMV area, a Skype session is also available!
Visit THIS LINK, answer a few simple questions, and send!
You have until Sunday, January 28th at midnight to enter. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to shoot me an email at vsmithphotography@gmail.com, I would love to chat!
Education in this field and helping others has been something I’ve wanted to implement in my business for a long time now, and I’m so thankful for everyone who’s been supportive throughout this journey.
