Katie has been my best friend since we were 17 and 18. We’ve been through a LOT together over the 10 years we’ve been best friends. One thing that has stayed constant is that we have NEVER lived in the same town longer than a 5 month period. I’m serious! We met Spring Break 2005, and come that fall, she was off to University of North Texas to start her freshman year. Since then, we’ve lived in different cities, towns, and even countries! The last time we were together was July 2014, so when I got the news that she was visiting me again (even for just 3 days), I was ecstatic! Knowing that she was going to visit during one of the most memorable times of my life (pregnant with mine and my husband’s first child), made me jump for joy. We made the most of those 3 days: early morning, late nights, LOTS of talking, chick flicks, you know…girl things 🙂 It’s been too long! Of course we had to wake up before the sun came up and drive to Old Town Alexandria to have a sunrise session, which are my favorite 🙂 She loves modeling for me, and I love being behind the camera! I’ve been taking her pictures since we first met, but these are by far my favorite! Here’s a little preview from that morning, and a little behind the scenes photos of our adventures 🙂
