Instagram has definitly changed my business for the better, and I’m so thankful for all the friends and clients I have met through just one social media outlet. Darlene with Darlene S Photography was in the process of looking for a photographer and came across my feed. Although she said great things about my work, is was our common taste in music (that she learned through an Insta post) that made her say “I want her!”. Yes! Music! 🙂 It is such an honor when another photographer reaches out and wants YOU to photograph their family. Such a huge compliment!! 🙂 It made me even MORE excited to work with her and her family 🙂

We shot at one of my favorite locations, the Old Stone Bridge, part of Manassas Battlefield Park in Manassas. Darlene’s son was about to leave Virginia and head for Las Vegas on a new adventure, so of course Darlene wanted capture new photos as a family before he took off. Even though the humidity was through the roof, this family was such troopers through the heat. That sunlight was perfect, and it truly was a gorgeous afternoon 🙂 A few days later, I met up with Darlene again for coffee, breakfast, and a little head shot swapping. More on that adventure in a future post! She’s seriously gorgeous, and I can’t wait to show you those images 🙂 I just love it when you gain new friends while doing what you love!
