It’s hard to put into words how I feel about Colby + Nick (and their families!). So sweet, welcoming, genuine, loving, funny, inspiring, and the list goes on and on. I’ve photographed Colby’s sister, Claire, and her family for 2 years now, and when Colby reached out for me to photograph HER wedding with Nick, I was over the moon! This family is the sweetest family you’ll ever meet, so I knew this wedding was going to be something special. Colby and Nick exchanged vows at the oldest Catholic church in Virginia, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Old Town Alexandra, VA. This church is stunning, and really set the tone for their intimate and romantic day. Nick could not keep his eyes off of his gorgeous bride, and how could he? She is GORGEOUS! With her contagious smile and spirit while wearing her mother’s veil, she was absolutely beautiful! After portraits at the George Washington Masonic National Temple in Alexandria, VA, we headed over to their reception at the National Women in the Arts Museum in Washington, D.C.. This place screams classic! From the gorgeous marble staircase and floors, large bay windows, and beautiful chandeliers, this was the perfect venue for Colby and Nick. The touching speeches from Colby father, maid of honor, and best man left everyone (including me!) laughing and even some tears. Their family and friends sure do love these two, and it showed all night. I had a blast documenting Colby and Nick’s special night, and it filled my heart with joy being surrounded with such love and excitement. Congratulations to the sweetest couple!! 🙂
