I always love visiting my home state, but when it’s to photograph a gorgeous and sweet couple for their wedding day, it makes it even better. Taylor and Trevor celebrated becoming husband and wife in front of their family and friends at the beautiful LBJ Wildflower Center in Austin, TX. Their love and admiration for one another just shined all day, and I felt to honored to be able to document this special moment in their lives. Taylor and Trevor met while they were both attending college at The University of Texas at Tyler. Trevor was a freshman at the time and Taylor was a sophomore. One night while meeting up with mutual friends, they met and the rest was history!
From Taylor:
Trevor proposed on March 11, 2017 in San Diego, CA while we were on vacation with my family. That day was my late grandma’s birthday and her celebration of life. That morning was the celebration with my entire extended family and in the afternoon my dad said he wanted our immediate family and Trevor to go watch the sunset at one of our favorite spots in San Diego – Sunset Cliffs. This was not out of the ordinary for us since we go there every time we are in town. I had zero suspicion of anything – I even tried to get out of going because “I was tired”. My mom, dad, sister, and Trevor dragged me to Sunset Cliffs and we started taking family photos together and when it came time to take a couple photo of Trevor and I he got down on one knee and proposed. Neither of us can remember anything he said when he was on one knee other than “I love you, will you marry me”.”
Throughout the entire wedding day, you can just feel their love; the way Trevor couldn’t hold back the tears during their emotional first look, the stories that were told during Taylor’s dad’s speech, and their last dance of the night while guests blew bubbles above them. I had so much fun photographing these two and getting to know them! Here are some highlights from their wedding day!
