2 reasons why I love my 50mm

Every photographer has that go-to lens. The one that they can’t go to a photo shoot or wedding without. The one where they use, sometimes, for an entire session. The one that hardly ever comes off the camera. My go-to lens is the Canon 50mm. I purchased this baby last year, and it has been a complete game changer in my portraits. Today, I’m sharing 2 reasons why this camera is ALWAYS on my camera body.

1. Sharp as a tack. I love using this lens for portraits simply because of the sharpness it provides. My photography editing style is clean, sharp, and warm, and I LOVE using this lens for portraits simply for the sharpness it provides.

2. That bokeh!  Your depth of field can really cause a photo to be from “Ok” to “wow!” In combination with the sharpness, the creaminess and softness of the backgrounds really helps the subject pop.

This lens is worth every penny I spent. It was a big investment in my business, but because this bad boy hardly ever leaves my camera body, I’d say it was definitely worth it. If you’re looking for a great portrait lens, this one is a no brainer !
