Colby + Nick | Engagement Session | Georgetown, Washington, D.C.

After their first date on October 20th, 2014, they were inseparable! It didn’t take long for these two to fall in love. Nick knew that Colby was the woman of his dreams, and decided to ask her for her hand in marriage. At a big family summer vacation trip to the coast, Nick wanted to surprise Colby in front of her entire family! They all knew his romantic plans…sisters, brothers, parents. Everyone except Colby 🙂 That day, Colby’s family planned on a huge family photo-op down by the beach. Once they got to the water, Colby followed all of the grand kids around to make sure the boys shirts were tucked in and the girls bows were placed perfectly. Everyone was in place. Nick ran to the camera to “adjust the equipment”, skillfully grabbing the ring. As he turned around, Nick got on one knee and asked Colby to be his wife and of course she said YES! Picture perfect!

Colby, Nick, and I went to historic Georgetown area of Washington, D.C. The colorful rows of homes, the brick walkways, and of course the bridges 🙂 I had such a fun time exploring this beautiful part of the city with them. Their tender hand holding, sweet kisses, and laughter made me see how genuinely happy they are, and how they can’t wait to be husband and wife! Here is a little peek at our evening at this spot in the city 🙂
