Brittany + Tim | Anniversary Session | Jefferson Memorial

He loves her cooking, she loves how he always keeps her laughing. They will be celebrating 1 year of marriage on October 17th, and I’m so honored to capture this moment while they celebrate this milestone. Tim proposed in Washington, D.C. along the tidal basin, so what better place to have an anniversary session then in the city it all happened! We met at one of my favorite locations, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and boy was the weather just perfect! Glowy light and the perfect amount of breeze, which I love. They even brought their pup, Bolt! He was such a trooper during our session, and so sweet!

There’s the saying that marriage takes work. One thing they’ve learned so far about their marriage is that is doesn’t feel like work for them. Being married to your best friend truly is something special. I can tell by they way they held each other, talk about one another, and looked at each other that they really have something unique. “We love working towards building a life together. I think a lot of that is grounded in our faith, in that, now that we’re married, it’s our opportunity to build a family according to the vision we mutually share. We can now pursue dreams together, but also help each other pursue our own individual passions. We’re a true unit, now.”

Thank you Brittany + Tim for having me document this special time. Congratulations on your first year of marriage, and many more! 1 year of marriage looks great on you two 🙂
