A Meridian Hill Park Engagement | Washington, D.C. | Ashleigh + Eric

Meridian Hill Park has been on my radar of locations that I’ve been wanting to work at, and I did just that with Ashleigh and Eric for their engagement session 🙂 They met me bright and early during sunrise in Washington, D.C., and my photographer heart was so happy when we discovered we had the park all to ourselves! I love it when that happens! Perks of scheduling a sunrise session 🙂

Ashleigh and Eric were glowing with excitement for their wedding next May, you could just tell how much in love they were with one another. They traveled to Cancun, Mexico this past August for their annual vacation together. On the night of the proposal, they were the only people on the beach, having a five course meal lit only by a TON of candles (even some in the shape of a heart with roses in front of the cabana) in a private cabana under moonlight! Swoon! Eric proposed right there at dinner under the twinkling lights, just the two of them. Funny how things work out, Eric told Ashleigh afterward that he actually wanted to propose the first night, but the cabana was only available half way through the trip! Talk about keeping a secret 🙂

I am so happy for these two, and I had such an amazing time with them! I wish it could have lasted longer! Here are a few favorites from their Meridian Hill Park engagement session.
