Ben JUST flew in from Egypt where he currently is located, to see his fiance, Charlotte. A few hours later, we were together photographing their Old Town Alexandria engagement session! Ben proposed to Charlotte in Old Town Alexandria this past September, and that’s exactly where we spent the evening.

“Ben and I had talked about doing this sunrise yoga that our gym puts on on the last Saturday of every month on the Old Town waterfront. He had put it in my mind earlier that week that we really should get to the one in September, since we had a wedding to go to that night and who knew if the last weekend in October would be too cold. So we got up and went to this ‘sunrise yoga,’ where before I knew it, we were by the waterfront and he proposes right then and there as the sun was rising. I should have put two and two together that something was up given it wasn’t even the end of the month, and Ben had never done a day of yoga in his life, but I never thought of it! We face-timed my mom to tell her the good news and before I knew it, Ben was saying that we needed to get going because he had booked a bed and breakfast in CHARLESTON that we had to get to the airport for.” <3

Ahh! Isn’t that so romantic!?

I could not have asked for a more gorgeous day with these two! The sun was out, the weather was warm, and these two could not stop holding on to each other 🙂 Old Town Alexandria is such a gorgeous historic spot, and I love coming here for my sessions. From the waterfront, the cobblestone streets, and colorful historic homes, there is so much variety when it comes to backdrops 🙂 I had such a blast with Charlotte and Ben during their engagement session, and I can not wait for their wedding next March at Stone Tower Winery!
